Okay Im living in student accommodation and we have broadband. Problem is for about 500 people we are all on the one broadband server. It is so unbelievably slow and I know that there are ways of making the internet faster but I just dont know how! Im not the best with computers, not the worst either but I have NO idea how to do this. Can anyone help me? This internet is cracking me up!
How about getting your own wireless broadband internet connection? But then you'd have to pay extra for it.
You could push the other 500 users off their connections. You can do this since you are on the same internal network... However. I think someone will notice
You could try using another DNS server that might not be as crowded.
Depending on the setup you could throttle the bandwidth for every user but yourself, but that's kinda greedy and I wouldn't condone it. =\
have you considered arp spoofing? eg ettercap on linux
Hi friends, I am using Inflow inventory accounting system for my business but I have free edition of it, now i like to upgrade to standard edition but need a activation code please anybody can help me for crack or serial

I have the same problem as this one...i know how to speed it up, but only here in our country.
I also have similar kind of problem.
Later i change my browser to (Mozilla) ,then after my problem is not solved fully but it give little benefit to me.
So you can use this browser.

Can't really do anything unless you have access to the server and you probably don't. I build servers vm servers and limit the bandwidth for the associates at my job. We have ds3 in my job. So unless you plan on tampering with configurations on the server it do to much good. They some tweaks for firefox that might help your browser speed.

The server issues each and everyone of you a portion of the bandwith and thats it.
If you don't use your portion(either completly or not at all) someone else will be using it.
You request some bandwidth by trying to make a connection.
So unless you have access(legally) to the server, which would allow you to flag Requests coming from your Ip with a higher priority you are stuck.
Ever thought about getting your own internetaccess. If you have a phoneline or something like that in your room, go out and get your own ISP.
sincerly
P.s.:
Just thought of something.
You might wanna try getting a better compression on that connection but i doubt that it will do you any good.
